Held annually at the end of September, K3 ULTRA takes advantage of the vibrant colours and crisp air of autumn. The marathon culminates in Zlatograd, Bulgaria’s southernmost city – a place rich in history and culture. With several distances to choose from, ranging from a manageable 13km to a gruelling 85km, K3 ULTRA offers an inclusive experience for runners of all abilities.
Participants venture through a variety of landscapes, alternating between 360-degree panoramic views of the Rhodopes and adrenaline-charged sections that test endurance. As well as the physical challenge, the route also takes runners past cultural and historical landmarks such as the medieval fortress of Kechi Kaya and the chapels of St Athanasius, St Nedelya and St Ekaterina. Runners will be treated to magnificent views of both Bulgaria and neighbouring Greece, making the event truly unique.

At least 20% of the entry fee will be used to purchase and plant trees, helping to regenerate forests and preserve the stunning landscapes that make this event so special.
